Der Grund der H\u00f6hle ist mit einer meterdicken Eisschicht bedeckt, insgesamt enth\u00e4lt die H\u00f6hle fast 10&#8217;000 m\u00b3 Eis. In den 1950er Jahren wurde das Eis industriell abgebaut und im Umland verkauft. Heute ist die Eish\u00f6hle ein Naturschutzgebiet.
